Inside Ethiopia Tours
Inside Ethiopia Tours was founded in 2015 by me, Binyam Ayaliew Kassaye. After graduating from the Hotel and Tourism Lion College in Addis Ababa back in 2011, I started to work as a tour guide, first in my hometown Lalibela, and then all over the country. Soon I realised that the Ethiopian tourism business need to provide a more specialised and detailed service adapted to the needs and interests of tourists, allowing visitors to interact with local communities in a respectful and responsible way.
That was the reason for me to start my own tour company. At that time I met Amanda, a Spanish teacher working in Addis Ababa and while traveling around in Ethiopia our passion for Ethiopia (and each other!) grew. We got married, lived in Spain and the USA - learning more about the tourism business - and decided to become business partners. Since we are back in Addis Ababa, our business continuously expanded. Personal and familiar is how we began, and that is how we continue to be!
